Strawberry POMegranate Smoothie

We are trying to eat healthier. But getting the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables in a day can be difficult. So lately we have been making berry smoothies.

This morning I made our favorite smoothie found via Lick The Bowl Good (a very dangerous blog filled with lots of recipes for yummy treats.)
Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Strawberry POMegranate Smoothie
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 8 oz. yogurt
  • 4 oz. POM Wonderful Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 12 frozen strawberries
Place all ingredients in blender in order as they appear above. Blend well til the frozen strawberries are smooth. Scrape the honey down off the pitcher sides if necessary. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry and a straw.
Makes 2 tall servings- about 4 1/2 cups.

I have recently started drinking "green smoothies" and I am loving them! Just add a couple handfuls of baby spinach to any smoothie. Other then the color, you hardly know it's there! (add it first with the water or juice so it's nice and pureed)
