Pastries and Parties

Last night we had a little celebration for Eliza's (a.k.a. Cheaping Girl in Training's) 4th birthday. This darling and elaborately decorated cake is from Mrs. Backer's Pastry Shop in Salt Lake. They also had beautiful little cupcakes that would've been perfect in one of these.

We had balloons at our party too. Balloons are great. They are bright and cheery and festive and can fill up a room with life when you don't want to spend a lot of money on decorations. Yesterday at Wal-Mart, we figured out that if you purchase a bunch of balloons (sold in the crafts/office supplies/party supplies area of the store) you can have them filled up for free (in the back of the store, by electronics, just ask someone in electronics to help you). So, we got 12 balloons for just $1.17!! Happy Birthday indeed!!
